Drawing from Walden, the book in which Henry Thoreau recounts his true experience living in the woods, the workshop aims to reflect with children on the idea of going back to the wild and of living a life in connection with Nature.
Thanks to a basic yet very flexible system made of tarpaulins, wooden sticks and perforated platforms, kids have to build first hand their shelters in an imaginary forest.
Safe place and materialization of each child’s inner world, the shelter offers a privileged point of view to get an insider’s look at Nature and start a more sincere and open confrontation with it.
